Giddy Up Over to the Old West

Just 25 miles southwest of Las Vegas, the historic ghost town of Nelson is home to Nevada’s most prolific gold rush. The area was once known as “Eldorado” when the Spaniards first discovered mining riches. Nelson epitomized the “wild west” and was as violent as it was profitable during the gold rush. Today visitors can tour the famous Techatticup Mine and enjoy the divinely instagrammable scenery of antique cars and buildings.
